Facility Rental Terms
The following conditions must be met by any group in order to rent the CKRC facility:
- Provide copies of the insurance certificates outlining coverage for spectator and participant legal liability in the amount of $5,000,000 for the following named insured, to CKRC 48 hours prior to entrance to the facility.:
• The organization renting the facility
• The Calgary Kart Racing Club
• Race City Motorsports Inc.
• The City of Calgary
- Control entry to the facility, so that all entrants, spectators, pit crew and officials have signed necessary waivers before proceeding into the restricted access areas. Restricted areas are defined as anything beyond the entrance to the facility or waiver booth or such other point that has been accepted in writing by the CKRC executive.
- Open the facility gate a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the time advertised to the competitors to avoid traffic queuing on 68 ST. Queuing should only take place between the facility gate and the waiver booth, never on the city street.
- Allow no vehicle on the track over 600 lbs weight, nor motorcycle of over 150cc displacement without the express written permission of both the CKRC and Race City.
- Provide first aid and medical services as required by the insurer which must in any case be reasonable and prudent for the anticipated activity.
- Inspect the track to ensure that it is safe to use and properly marked as to any possible cut offs or chicanes which are to be followed. Ensure that there are no dangerous obstructions in any potential run off areas that might cause a hazard to any participant or officials. If any hazards are found, postpone track usage until they are rectified.
- Allow racing only in the same direction as the sign at the end of the pits (this track direction sign may be adjusted as necessary PRIOR to the event).
- Implement pit and paddock rules of equal or greater safety than those used at CKRC events. At minimum: No driving of race vehicles in paddock area. Race vehicles may only be driven within fenced staging area or on the track.
CKRC rules are the Sporting Regulations of ASN Canada FIA as modified by the CKRC. Both ASN Sporting Regulations and CKRC Supplemental Regulations are available at www.ckrc.com.
- No spectator access to the staging area, without appropriate waivers and safety controls being in place.
- Assume full financial responsibility for any damage caused to the facility during the course of the event.
- Assume responsibility for vacating the facility, locking gates and securing the facility at the completion of the event. Assume full financial and legal liability for any subsequent events caused by failure to properly secure the facility after the event.
