GET THE BEST SEAT IN RACING, BECOME A RACE EVENT VOLUNTEER
The CKRC is incorporated under the Societies Act and has received grants from the Alberta Lottery Foundation. The CKRC is run entirely by volunteers and much of the facility was built with the efforts of these volunteers.
If you have ever thought of being involved in racing, here is your chance. The CKRC is actively seeking volunteers to assist in all aspects of club activities including race events. As a volunteer race official, you will be directly involved with the success of each event and be closer to the action than anyone else, receiving free entry and lunch. Witness Calgary’s next racing stars at speeds reaching in excess of 140 KPH come screaming into a corner, jockey for position on the backstretch, or go two wide through the chicane. This type of action can only take place if we have a crew of responsible, enthusiastic personnel to overview the race. If you want to be involved and learn the basics of racing, the CKRC is currently taking names and numbers from all interested people. Training for all respective positions is available through the CKRC. Everybody becomes part of the team.
The following positions are available:
Corner Marshals
Weigh Scale Marshall
Grid/Pit Marshall
Starting Flagman
Pre-race Technical Inspector
Post-race Technical Inspector
Lap Scoring and Time Keeper
Recovery Vehicle Operator
Waiver and Gate Personnel
