Just wondering what the outcome of the council vote was? Anyone have any news? I have tried searching on google but have found nothing.

Looks like it was approved!!!!!!!!!!!! No matter what else happens today, it's a very good day indeed!

City Council has approved a two year extension, pending lease negotiations. After a lease is negotiated, it will have to go back to council for a final vote. This is great news, but also just the beginning of a huge undertaking. It seems funny to say this is the beginning, since the work actually started several years ago. Suddenly the Irricana investment takes on a whole new relevance.
I had posted on the" executive talk" forum last night, but thought I should wait for council's news release to post here.
Thanks to all who have helped on this , & the many other projects we have done this year.Thanks, Fred, for being the one who got to sit at city hall all day, awaiting the results.
Now is the time we really need to come together as a club, to secure our present & future facilities. I will try to hold a club meeting as soon as possible (within the next month) to start forming time lines, & task groups. Any & all help will be greatly appreciated.

My understanding was 2. I believe the Herald article says 3, but I am unsure of his source.
