Good point about how unusual it is in most sports to have beginners alongside experts. e.g. motorcycle roadracing has skill based classes expert/intermediate/novice classes and I believe you have to earn points to advance.

I suppose the other problem is retaining beginner racers who make the jump ...

I thought I saw last year on motorsports reg an option for members to bring a friend and let them use their kart for $10/day or something like that. I can't seem to find it anymore so was wondering if that's still available? Was a pretty cool perk to try and lure friends into karting.

Have a question about the Briggs L206 idle ̶s̶p̶e̶e̶d̶ mixture screw. I had one fall out while driving already and the replacement doesn't seem to fit right.
