Well with the race day over I would just like to say WELL DONE to ALL drivers in Every class for the racing yesterday and for the most mature level of driving I have witnessed in the past 8 years.

There was great controversy before the event about the safety of the configuration but with sensible attitudes and respectful driving the event went off without a hitch and with way less contact than in normal configuration.

The racing was amazing and truly exciting and at one stage in practice I stood at the entry of the North chicane and watched the Senior Rotax come through it...I took two steps back towards safety as the speed was truly awe inspiring Bobby Wallace is flipping mental... but we all know that hey !! lol his ability to carry 5 mph more through there with little braking really did set him up for the win.

The Race officials were a buzz with the excitement of seeing something different and finally watching respectful racing was a pleasure.

I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed watching and I just had to stand track side to applaud the racing it really was that good.......

Heading into that chicane ( even with a little braking ) was one of the highlights of my racing season... so fast and so smooth in there... we definitely need to add this layout to the regular schedule...

Thank you to all the racers for a great day of racing! It was great to hear that there was very little contact and everyone had fun. I saw some passes that were incredible and I also saw some racers thinking about what they were trying. Great, clean and very respectful racing! Good job everyone!!

I also want to thank the volunteers who make it all possible. As always, you guys did a great job.

I too was worried about the chicane at the start of the race, but the sensibility and maturity of the drivers (even the Masters...) showed how good the racing can be on a new configuration. It was a pleasure watching the races, and I applaud everyone for a great day.

Also special thanks to Team Dezall for the loaner engine!
Otherwise, I'd have spent the entire day in the grandstands.

I also really enjoyed driving in this configuration, the speed that you can take the bus stop at was incredible. However, I did not enjoy the racing quite as much because it was very difficult to overtake. The main passing zone in the clockwise direction is the front straightaway, but of course with the chicane it becomes impossible to pass there. At least in my class, very little passing took place. It was nice to have one race there for a change though.
