Dear Members,
WORK PARTY OCT. 4TH AND 5TH 9AM TO 4PMish
Asphalt is looking awesome. Track perimeter lines have been painted by Chris Galecki and his son, Paul. Fencing posts have been placed for the East/West divider fence between the paddock and race surface. Seacan buildings and scoring tower have been put in their final positions, the grandstand area has been filled and levelled. Even with all the hard work done so far we still have some work to do…
Track work still to be done:
- East/West fence building - we were short about 15 posts and the webbing needs to be stapled into place
- Dirt needs to be moved into place in front of the retaining wall
- Need more tires to be brought to the facility
- Need to continue shrink wrapping tires
- ATCO building needs to be cleaned out and organized
- Sliding Main gate needs to be finished and functional
- Track edges need to be backfilled
- timing system needs to be installed.
- landscaping - dirt needs to be raked and shovelled to the asphalt edge
FREE PortaPotty - BIG SCORE - Fred found us a FREE portapotty this week which has now been taken to our new facility. This is about a $700 saving for the club.
Tire pick-ups are needed at the following locations, please organize yourselves to do a pick up for this weekend. If you have a trailer and plan to do a pick-up, let me know your plans and I will mobilize members through email.

WORK PARTY OCT. 11th 9AM TO 4PMish
Many tasks have been accomplished in the last month.
We now have:
- Asphalt
- the 6 foot East/West fencing between the track and paddock is completed
- a ton of earth work has been completed to level out the track run-off areas
- a 150 foot retaining wall/safety barrier was installed for barrels and tires
- gravel was placed for the concrete apex curbing
- the ATCO building was cleaned and organized
- the sliding front gate has been constructed and installed
- 805 feet of apex curbing is going in this week in 21 locations
- Most tire barriers have now been placed
- Seacans and timing tower have been placed on gravel pads
- the timing system strips and magnetic strip are now installed
All of this work so far was done by a few(35) dedicated CKRC club members with a few AMRA and Rocky Mountain Motard members. If you haven't come out to help yet, there is still work to do. There will be a Work Party - Saturday October 11th 9am - 4pmish .
