Round 5 has been cancelled due to thunderstorms.

Weather?.... Aside from the rivers of flowing water and a few lightning strikes it wasn't really that bad!

I don't know how you managed to capture that split second on camera, but that's worrisome; something like that could take out everything electronic in the timing tower. Everything will need to be checked\tested before next event.

Screen capture from an iPhone video. Mark had his phone aiming out the Atco building window capturing the light show when this one hit. Between the flash of lightning and the crack of thunder there was just a fraction of a second and it was LOUD.
It's the kind of video or picture you hope to capture, but rarely do. We also had our power pole potentially hit. Fred said the breaker on the pole was in the off position. We heard something in the Atco building when that one shut down our power.

That's an amazing picture, thanks for sharing. Sitting outside the overdrive trailer watching the lightening strike all around us was something very hard to put into words, this picture says it all!

Will there be a make up round later in the year? Is that something that happens??
