Volunteers Needed for our Casino on Friday March 24 and Saturday March 25 at Cash Casino. http://msreg.com/Casino

We need volunteers to fill the many positions required to run this important fund raiser. Please fill out the AGLC Gaming Worker Application form which can be accessed here http://www.aglc.gov.ab.ca/pdf/gaming/ga ... s/5400.pdf and submit as described below.

Although the casino volunteering experience may seem a little intimidating at first, you will be surprised at how smoothly things run and how much fun it can be for all the volunteers.

All volunteer training is done during the casino and a meal and/or snacks are provided. Friends and family can also volunteer.

A brief description of the volunteer positions follows:

General Manager: Responsible for the overall running of the casino, guided by the advisor.
Banker: Works closely with the advisor, handling cash and chip inventories.
Cashier: Redeems players’ chips for cash.
Chiprunner: Delivers chips to the gaming tables as required.
Countroom Staff: Sort and count money at the end of the night.
If you have a strong preference for a particular job position, please email your preference to the coordinator at [email protected]

Shifts run from about 11:15AM to 7:30PM (Day shift) and from 7PM to 3:30PM (Night shift) and 11:30PM to 3:30AM (Count Room shift) on each day.
Some shifts may start a little earlier or run a little later.
You can work two shifts if you want, although you must remain in the same job.
You must be 18 or older.
You cannot gamble at the casino during our two day time period if you are a volunteer.
The event will be held at Cash Casino at 4040 Blackfoot Trail.
Please make sure that your contact information on MotorSportReg is up to date and complete with an email address and a cell phone number.

To volunteer, please complete the following registration step on the next page where you select your desired shift and complete the AGLC form (leaving the Position section blank).

The CKRC Casino Coordinator reserves the right to set the final schedule but will try to meet any special requests on a first come, best efforts basis. If you wish to be on the same shift as someone else, please coordinate your efforts during registration.

The schedule will be posted on the CKRC Clubhouse Forum as it develops.

Hi All,

We are doing pretty good and most of the positions have been filled. However, we still need the following positions filled for the casino event on March 24 & 25.

- Need 2 Saturday day time chip runners
- Need 2 count room staff for each night
- Also need a few spares for the flexible time slots in case of illness or last minute volunteer cancellation

The casino is just over a month away. We still need 6 people to volunteer to work at the casino fundraising event. If you are new to the club this coming season, you can also volunteer too. Friends, spouses and relatives are also eligible. This is the single most lucrative fund raiser the CKRC is able to do and helps us pay for upgrades to the track facility that benefit the whole club.

Why does this volunteer opportunity not count towards the volunteer hrs commitment?

According to AGLC a true volunteer does not receive any kind of compensation. Counting volunteer hours toward a monetary deposit such as the Refundable Volunteer Fee would be considered compensation. We might be interpreting this grey area too literally but considering what is at stake we wanted to be on the safe side of this interpretation.
