He says he should be able to offer something. He will be setting up cash payments along with Finance deals.

On the subject of trailers, I am in the market. But what I'm really undecided on, is a rear barn door, or ramp door. I think I'm leaning towards barn doors, as with them folded back, you don't lose all that space behind your trailer. If I had a stacker, yes the ramp door would be beneficial, but there are other ways of hauling more than one kart.
Can anyone else share their reasons for picking ramp door or barn doors?
Thanks.

Early on in my karting career,(the 80's), my Dad and I had 2 different trailers and they both had barn doors. The wind made the doors a pain in the ass.
When I went to buy my own trailer, I went with the ramp door and like it much better. The single axle trailers typically have the axle mounted fairly far back for towing stability but this comes with a higher tongue weight. The ramp door allows me to put a rolling toolbox and regular toolbox at the back of the trailer to balance things out. We usually shut the ramp door when we are at the track and use the side door where our tents are set up. Unless the design has changed, the barn doors won't necessarily fold all the way around to the sides of the trailer.

Thanks John. If I went barn door, I would definitely get a trailer that allows them to fold all the way back, and have the latches so the wind doesn't blow them around. However, that is a great point about the side door that most trailers have these days. Once I'm unloaded, the side door will give me all the access I need.
Thanks again.

I much prefer ramp door. Otherwise you have to manufacture a ramp anyway. Then that has to be stored. If you need the room behind the trailer I understand what your saying. With a removable ramp it would be out of the way but you are constantly stepping up into the trailer with the ramp gone, and you won't believe how many times that can be in a single day! Probably more apt to banging your head too. If you make a step, that is one more thing to store. Ramp style is probably a little more money than barn doors but the thought of your homemade ramp slipping off just once while rolling a kart up, well ouch is all I can say. The homemade ramp needs to be long enough as not to have too much slope and make it more difficult to push a kart and stand up by just one person.
My thoughts anyway.........................Don
